In 1990 he started a new career in the Christian ministry.
Anthony has been preaching at various churches since the age of eighteen. In 1974 he was appointed pastoral elder in Bethshan a growing church belonging to the Assemblies of God Church in the city of Newcastle-upon-Tyne.
After his forced retirement through ill health he moved in 1987 to Solihull because God has called him to serve his younger brother David who was senior minister at the Renewal Christian Centre. In 1990 he started a new career in the Christian ministry. He became a pastor at the Renewal Christian Centre and was appointed director of pastoral care until heart surgery intervened. From 2001 he became a minister at Wren's Chapel Wroxall Abbey in Warwickshire. Previously he had taken training for the ministry and became ordained in December 1995. He obtained a Bachelors Degree in Applied Theology (Manchester) in 1998 through Regents Theological College Nantwich Cheshire.
He served on the Elim Executive Presbytery for four years as the ECI minister elected representative before the Church became Free Methodist when he received credentials from that denomination. Until late 2005 he chaired the Missions & People in Need Board at the Renewal Christian Centre and is part of the Pastoral team. In January 2006 he obtained the degree of Master of Religious Arts and in June 2006 he received the degree of Doctor of Sacred Literature. In September 2017 Anthony received the degree of Doctor of Divinity from Masters International University of Divinity.
Anthony was re-ordained into the Communion of Evangelical Episcopal Churches by The Most Revd. Dr. Charles Travis, Archbishop of the diocese of St. Chad’s in the Province of St. Peter’s Florida on 5th April 2009 in Wren's Chapel Wroxall Abbey.(The Communion is both Anglican and Celtic).
On 26th July 2009 the Chapel became Wren's Cathedral Wroxall Abbey. Anthony became the Arch-presbyter and Canon to the Ordinary. At the same time the Order of St. Leonard was established.
On the 20th June 2010 Anthony was ordained and consecrated Bishop of Wren's Cathedral and Suffragan Bishop of Wroxall Abbey.
Anthony is also A Companion of the Order of St. Leonard (28th November 2010) and Vice Chair of the advisory board of Companions. Also a trustee.
On the 14th October 2012 just after his 80th birthday Anthony was appointed Pastor Emeritus of the Renewal Christian Centre Solihull.
